Designer Library (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use designerlibrary.in, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We handle your information in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and applicable rules.

We only collect what we need to run the store and serve you well:

• Identity & contact: name, email, phone number, and shipping/billing address.
• Order information: the items you buy, order history, and communication with our support team.
• Payment information: processed securely by Razorpay. We never see or store your full card details.
• Technical & usage data: device, browser, IP address, and how you browse the site — collected via cookies only after you consent.

• To process, fulfil, and deliver your orders.
• To provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
• To send order updates and transactional messages by email and SMS.
• To send marketing — newsletters, offers — only with your consent, which you can withdraw anytime.
• To improve our products, website, and service, and to meet legal and tax obligations.

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted partners who help us run the store, and only to the extent needed:

• Razorpay — to process payments and refunds securely.
• Shiprocket and courier partners — to deliver your orders.
• Resend and MSG91 — to send order emails and SMS notifications.
• Analytics providers — only after you consent to analytics cookies.

We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

We use essential cookies to keep the site working (for example, your cart and login). Analytics and marketing cookies — such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and Microsoft Clarity — are only set after you give consent, and you can change your choice at any time through your browser settings.

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request erasure of your data, subject to legal retention limits.
• Withdraw consent for marketing or analytics at any time.
• Nominate someone to exercise your rights on your behalf.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@designerlibrary.in and we'll respond within the timelines required by law.

• Order & invoice records: retained for 7 years to meet GST and tax requirements.
• Marketing data: retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
• Account data: retained while your account is active; deleted on request, subject to the above.

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable, security-certified service providers. Payments are handled entirely by a PCI-DSS-compliant gateway. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

Our store is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
